It’s been almost a year since rumors of Cathy Kelley and Finn Balor started spreading thanks to a photo going around various social media sites that shows a couple who look like Finn Balor and Cathy Kelley walking hand-in-hand, leading to speculation the two WWE performers are an item.
WWE legend Chyna aka Joanie Laurer was found dead today in her home in Redondo Beach, California.
Police got the call at 7:30 pm wednesday night and are investigating a possible drug overdose as Laurer has had a long and very public battle with drugs.
She was 45 years old when she passed.
As a sports entertainer, Chyna was very gifted and beloved by fans. She was a founding member of the Degeneration X, one of the most influential and beloved wrestling stables in the WWE, with Road Dogg, X-pac, Billy Gunn and former lover Triple H.
She was also the very first woman to compete in the WWE’s Royal Rumble And King of the Ring pay-per-view events and was able to win the Intercontinental Championship twice and the Women’s Championship.
Her social media team on twitter had posted the following message and added: “#RIPChyna 😢😢😢 all of us on team Chyna love you and will forever love you babe”
Joanie left in 2012 and started her new life and career in Japan. She has a Masters Degree in Education and aside from keeping herself busy by teaching English apparently she was able to turn her life around by doing yoga and avoiding the limelight.
However, a few weeks before this year’s Wrestlemania, Triple H was interviewed regarding Chyna’s chances of becoming part of the WWE Hall of Fame. Hunter told everyone that Chyna deserves to be part of the Hall of Fame because of her numerous contribution in the industry however his main concern was kids googling her and finding out about her past when she made several porn movies.
After the news broke, Chyna also released her side by having an interview with former WWE employee Vince Russo.
