Ronda Rousey is with WWE for the Next Few Years

After several months of speculation – the former MMA champion and the WWE revealed today what we have been suspecting all long.

The 30-year-old MMA superstar made a surprise appearance after Asuka wrote her name into the history books by being victorious against 29 other female wrestlers and winning the Rumble.

Ronda, was wearing the WWE Hall of Famer, Rowdy Roddy Piper’s leather jacket which she confirmed was given to her by Piper’s son. Ronda then offered her hand to congratulate Asuka but the Empress of Tomorrow pulled hers away.

Ronda pointed towards the WrestleMania 34 sign in an apparent challenge to the three female wrestlers in the ring (Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flaire and Asuka) before she then shook the hand of WWE chief Stephanie McMahon.

Ronda then confirmed in several interviews after the show that she had in fact signed a full-time professional wrestling contract with WWE and her future appearances won’t be limited to Big Pay Per Views as she is fully committed to wrestling now.

She even told ESPN: “This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years.

This is a very exciting development since fans have been pushing for a match between Ronda and Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte since last year. It will be interesting to find out what WWE has in store in the next few months.

Denise Aquino is the Gladiator’s Vinyl Valkyrie. She’s been following the WWE since it’s glory days in the 90’s.  Find her on Twitter @moreaurora 😉
