The Petron Supercars Collection have always had well-made, great quality products. The newest addition to the line, The Porsche 918 Spyder is no exception. The 1:24 scale model of the Porsche Supercar is made from finely crafted die-cast metal and molded plastic. Both its doors can be opened as well as the front compartment and rear engine compartment.

The coolest feature of the model however, is probably its lights and sounds suite which activate a car alarm sound effect when you open either door; and an ignition, engine revving and acceleration sound effect when you press down the hood. Activating any of the sound effects trigger flashing of the headlights, brakelights and even the blue-tinted dashboard. These effects are all powered by 3 AG-13 batteries that are accessible via a hatch at the bottom of the vehicle’s chassis.

The model is also well-detailed and represent its real life counterpart quite competently. The iconic Porsche form factor; the leather seats and dashboard elements, even right down to the engine is faithfully recreated.

The Spyder comes mounted on a sturdy plastic base which you can easily detach by unscrewing the 4 Phillips head screws if you want to take the car out for a spin. The base also comes with a detachable exterior plastic frame that helps maintain the form of the 5-sided see through box it comes packaged in, a feature that will surely be appreciated by interested collectors. Finally, the manufacturers have taken the liberty to add to the package a spare set of 3 AG-13 batteries to make sure you get the most your purchase.

How can you get it?
