R U TOUGH ENOUGH?: The Search for the Toughest Pinoy Returns with an Epic Battle of the Sexes format

R U Tough Enough, the Kix Channel’s search for the toughest Pinoy, returns to once again challenge competitors from all over the country. This time around the competition is seeking out both men and women to participate in a good ol’ battle of the sexes to walk away with 250, 000 Php and earning the recognition of being the Toughest Pinoy.

In the RUTE Media Launch held in Makati la and learn more about it. Here’s everything we found out!

Kix has already held various iterations of R U Tough Enough in the Philippines and in other countries and for this go-around the competition features an exciting new dynamic. For its 3rd season in the country, the competition is now open to both male and female contestants.   5 male and 5 females will be chosen to represent their gender in this special “Man Vs. Woman Edition” of the contest. The move seeks to break the gender stereotypes and support gender equality by recognizing the strength, resilience and toughness of the modern woman in today’s society.

In view of this Kix, has chosen two ambassadors for RUTE, each to champion and lead their respective teams to victory. Representing the Men is Arnold Aninion, a world-class rugby player who has represented the country as part of the Philippine Volcanoes. Arnold, who has recently taken to being a body builder, has been a long-time fitness enthusiast and is taking his experience in competition and strong work ethic to lead Team Arnold to the battle.

Representing the Women is Aubrey Miles, an actress turned fitness guru that is tough as nails and is always up for the challenge. Aubrey has conquered many challenges in her career. Supporting her family as a teenager and being a mother of two as well as fully dedicating herself to fitness and self-improvement, she is the perfect blend of toughness, tenacity and intensity to head Team Aubrey.

R U Tough Enough is open to all Philippine Residents aged 18 and above. To enter, participants must apply online at www.kix-tv.com/tough and tell them why you are the Toughest Pinoy. The participants with the most awe-inspiring and heart-warming stories, will be invited to an audition to find the 10 individuals who will make it to the final showdown at Mall of Asia, where the grand prize of 250, 000 Php and the title of “Toughest Pinoy” will be on the line.
