Pick of the Geek (29 February – 06 March 2016)

On Pick of the Geek, the Geekend Gladiators list down some of the more notable things going down in the world of Movies, TV, Comic Books, and Videogames. For this week, here are the Gladiators’ pick!

TV

MYTHBUSTERS – “THE MYTHBUSTERS GRAND FINALE”

After 16 awesome seasons of busting myths, it all comes to an end this week as Mythbusters will air its final episode. Make sure to catch the finale this 7th of March, Philippine time, to find out what their last myth/experiment will be.

BLINDSPOT – “CEASE FORCING ENEMY”

Blindspot returns from its mid-season break this week. With a doozy of a cliffhanger in the mid-season finale by revealing the identity of the person behind Jane’s tattoos, things get a lot trickier as Jane has doubts about revealing this to the FBI.

SUITS – “25TH HOUR”

Suits season finale airs this week following that frustratingly good cliffhanger last week. The question here is, who will go to prison? And will Mike really take that deal? And what deal will he take? Hopefully everything gets resolved in the season finale.

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW – “MAROONED”

It was only a matter of time (pun intended) that our heroes go face to face with time pirates. This week the team receive a distress call from a time ship and Rip decides to answer the call against the objections of his team. Turns out, the team was right and now Dr. Stein is their only hope.

COMIC BOOKS

UNFOLLOW #5

By: Rob Williams, Michael Dowling, and Matt Taylor (Vertigo)

Unfollow has been one of those must-read books coming from Vertigo. In issue 5, the 140 return to their normal lives, but as they settle back in they become the hunted as factions start to form and the hunting begins. Will there be another death, or multiple deaths in this issue, there’s only one way to find out.

BLACK WIDOW #1

black widow 1
By: Mark Waid, Chris Samnee (Marvel)

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee are back together and things couldn’t get any better for fans of Black Widow. While the previous incarnation of Black Widow will surely be missed, due to the flawless art, having an Eisner-Award team on the helm sure makes up for it. Natasha is on the run this time around as the secrets she’s amassed over the years have come back to haunt her. The stakes are higher as S.H.I.E.L.D. looks to apprehend her.

So there you have it. Did we miss any thing on your list? Let us know on our comments section below.
