Another week, another geeky pick.
Big week for the geeks out there as Marvel continues its revamp of its comic book line, and we get to live in the world of Back to the Future again!
Here are the Picks of the Geeks this week!
AMAZING SPIDERMAN #2
By: Dan Slott, Giuseppe Camuncoli (Marvel)
“Spider-Man has gone global! Parker Industries is more successful than ever, with offices in New York, Shanghai, London and San Francisco and Peter Parker is racking up the frequent flyer miles with his “bodyguard” Spider-Man in tow, of course. But success breeds enemies and a reinvigorated Zodiac have also widened their scope to threaten the whole world.”
BACK TO THE FUTURE #1
By: Bob Gale, Brent Schoonover and Dan Schoening (IDW)
Let’s go back to the future, er, in the past I mean, with Doc Brown and Marty McFly. In this iteration or untold story of the popular pop culture franchise, we get to see the early years between Doc Brown and Marty’s friendship. Also, to have Doc Brown having something to do with the Manhattan Project then its safe to say that you have successfully piqued my interest.
ARROW EPISODE 3: RESTORATION
Last week, we saw Laurel take Thea to dig up Sara’s grave with the sole intention of bringing Sara to Nanda Parbat to have Ra’s resurrect Sara. With what we already know about the side-effects of being revived through the Lazarus Pit, we can’t wait to see how team Arrow deals with this resurrection. Meanwhile, Oliver and Diggle go after a Damien Darhk and a metahuman H.I.V.E. operative. Things are heating up on Arrow!
LIMITLESS EPISODE 5: PERSONALITY CRISIS
Brian’s discovery in last week’s episode regarding Rebecca’s father comes at the forefront in this week’s episode. Brian faces the dilemma of telling Rebecca about what the FBI knows about her father or being held legally accountable with his actions. Brian also learns kung-fu, or in this case, martial arts from an FBI agent.
ASSASSIN’S CREED SYNDICATE
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an upcoming historical action-adventure open world stealth video game being developed by Ubisoft Quebec and to be published by Ubisoft. It is set to be released on October 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on November 19, 2015 for Microsoft Windows. It is the ninth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, and the successor to 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Set within London in 1868 during the Industrial Revolution, the story follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they navigate the corridors of organized crime during the Victorian era and fight against the established order, controlled by the Templars. The game retains the series’ third-person open world exploration as well as introducing new traveling systems and refined combat and stealth mechanics. Ubisoft has confirmed that Syndicate does not feature any form of multiplayer gameplay.
