We explore the wonderful world of podcasts! What are they? How do you consume them? and what are they good for? (spoiler: Everything)

Podcasts are pre-recorded shows consisting of audio (music or talk) that are available for consumption in a digital format. Basically, they’re like talk shows, radio shows or interviews that you can download to your PC, MAC, tablet or mobile device and listen to them on the go.

Since you can download podcasts to your mobile device, you can listen to them WHENEVER, and WHEREVER you want!

You can listen while you travel, In the gym, In the office or just plain browsing the ol’ internet and keeping it in the background. Basically anywhere and everywhere that you want to consume content with your ears!

They’re especially good for when you’re driving.


Specialized Content

Also, Since there are podcasts for literally everything, you can definitely find a podcast talking about your specific interests! There are podcasts for Movies, TV Shows, Videogames, Comicbooks, Boardgames, Wrestling. There’s even a podcast about plumbing.

The biggest avenue for podcasts is iTunes. You can find a majority of the most popular podcasts on there and you can sift through it all in a familiar and intuitive interface. The best part? Listening and downloading is absolutely free!

Podcast Services

Aside from iTunes, there’s also a wide variety of Podcast Streaming services on the Internet where you can listen and download, also for free! Some of the most popular are Soundcloud, Audiomack, Bandcamp and Podnova!

Podcast Apps

There are also a variety of Podcast apps for your Android or iPhone that add to the convenience factor. All you need is an internet connection and you can download the latest episode of your favorite podcast. Look for Audiomack, BeyondPod, OneCast, OverCast, Instacast and many others.

Comedians being Comedians. Kumail Nanjani, star of HBO’s Silicon Valley and his wife Emily Gordon sit down with Comedians, Game Designers and Videogame Voice actors to discuss, Games, TV Shows and everything in between

IGN Games Podcasts

Podcasts for every gamer. Coming out of the pop culture news giant IGN.com, Their wide variety of podcasts are geared towards giving you informative and off the wall takes on every side of videogame universe. There’s Podcast Unlocked for XBox stuff, Podcast Beyond for Playstation stuff, Overclocked for PC games, IGN Arena for MOBAs and even Fireteam Chat for Destiny players.

Kinda Funny Podcasts
