batman and robin eternal

After last year’s successful weekly comic book Batman Eternal, DC Comics follows it up with Batman and Robin Eternal #1. 5 years ago, Batman and Robin solve their most disturbing case by bringing down a human trafficking organization headed by Mother. Fast-forward to the present, the case now haunts Dick Grayson and everyone else in the Bat-Family.


Jughead 1

By: Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson (Archie Comics)

Fans of Jughead have been clamoring to get their hands on this reboot/relaunch of Jughead since the Archie Comics relaunch. Now the wait is over. For the first issue, Jughead seeks vengeance for the tampered lunch in Riverdale High. Chip Zdarsky (Howard the Duck) and Erica Henderson (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) are at the helm.


secret wars

By: Jonathan Hickman, Esad Ribic (Marvel Comics)

After some delays, the Final War is upon us. Issue #6 marks the third act of this epic Secret Wars saga. Doom is determined to track down the survivors of the old universe/world, will he succeed?



the flash

The Flash returns for year 2 on October 7. After the events of year 1, Barry blames himself for Eddie’s death, and results in Barry tuning out his allies. A new villain also emerges in Central City.



Oliver Queen returns as the Green Arrow in Star City on October 8. Last we saw Oliver was riding into the sunset with Felicity and deciding to retire, well let’s call it a short-lived one, as Thea and Laurel convince Ollie to return to Star City for some more crime-fighting.




The sequel to the sleeper hit movie Olympus has Fallen opens on October 7. With the main characters back (Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Morgan Freeman), the story takes us to London where the Prime Minister has died under mysterious circumstances and world leaders are in attendance for his funeral. This funeral takes a turn for the worse when it becomes a major terrorist target. The fate of the world lands in the hands of Mike Banning (Butler) and an MI6 agent.



An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by an elected government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico. Starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro. Opens on October 7, 2015.



rock-band 4

Get your guitars and drum sets ready as Rock Band returns this week with Rock Band 4 on the PS4 and Xbox 1. With over 60 playable songs to rock out to Rock Band 4 aims to reinvigorate the music playing instrument game genre.

Gino is the Gladiators’ resident TV and comic book reviewer. He is a lawyer in the making at day and full-on geek by night. He believes that the lightsaber is the best weapon during a zombie apocalypse. #AgeOfTheGeek
